Chartered Accountants

A Chartered Accountant is a member of either the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. It should be noted that the other three professional accountancy bodies (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) all now hold a Royal Charter but it is not customary to refer to their members as Chartered Accountants.
